EdTalks 2025 Fall Term Second Seminar

 

Dear List Members,

This EdTalks session, organized by the Department of Educational Sciences, will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, between 11:30 and 12:30. The seminar will be delivered by Dr. Gökhan Karaosmanoğlu, who is currently a faculty member at the Department of Basic Art Education, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ankara University.
The title of the seminar is “A Critical Perspective on Human Rights through Process Drama.”

The event will be held face-to-face, and the language of the event will be Turkish.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Gökhan Karaosmanoğlu graduated from the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2004. He completed his master’s degree in the Creative Drama Program of the Department of Elementary Education at Ankara University Institute of Educational Sciences in 2015, and his PhD in the Department of Fine Arts Education at the same institute in 2019.

He has conducted various creative drama studies with adults, teachers, and high school students. His research and practice areas include process drama, creative drama, theatre, forum theatre, cyberbullying, drama in museums, online drama practices, digitalization in education, creative writing, and drama studies with refugees. He has been actively involved in drama, theatre, and forum theatre practices with diverse groups in public spaces. He is currently serving as a faculty member at Ankara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Basic Art Education.
